SunWood Industries Public Company Limited was first established on January 15, 1980 under the name of Sun Furniture Co.,Ltd.

and with the initial registered capital of 6 million Bath. The company's objective is to manufacture knock down teakwood furniture for exports. The factory was then set up on the land plot of 23 rai in Bangsai District, Ayutthaya, Thailand

1981 With the management and staff comprising entirely of Thai people, the companystarted manufacturing of teak wood furniture for exports.

1982 The company have its machinery modified by Danish experts, then began to manufacture full sets of Scandinavian design furniture for interior uses, such as dining and sofa sets.

1985 The company began to manufacture teak wood furniture for bedrooms, such as beds, wardrobes and parquet.

1986 The company began to manufacture garden furniture, expanded production by increasing heat dryers for wood and installing boilers.

1990 The company started manufacturing of oakwood and rubberwood furniture. Also, it registered a change of name into Sun Wood Industries Co.,Ltd. On February 25, 1991, the company increased its registered capital to 100 million Bath, divided into 10 million common shares with the par value of 10 Baht each.

1994 The company was granted an approval to be listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand and become a public company using the number BOT Bor Mor Jor 387.

1995 The company purchase 400,000 new shares of Sun Cabinet Co.,Ltd., increasing its holding to 999,994 shares worth 99,999,400 Baht or 99.99 percent holding stake .
